Follow Your Dream

Follow Your Dream

Story:
--------
Once upon a time, there was a large mountainside, where an eagle's nest rested. The eagle's nest contained four large eagle eggs.
One day an earthquake rocked the mountain causing one of the eggs to roll down the mountain, to a chicken farm, located in the valley below.
The chickens knew that they must protect and care for the eagle's egg, so an old hen volunteered to nurture and raise the large egg.
One day, the egg hatched and a beautiful eagle was born. Sadly, however, the eagle was raised to be a chicken. Soon, the eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken. The eagle loved his home and family, but his spirit cried out for more.
While playing a game on the farm one day, the eagle looked to the skies above and noticed a group of mighty eagles soaring in the skies."Oh," the eagle cried, "I wish I could soar like those birds."
The chickens roared with laughter, "You cannot soar with those birds. You are a chicken and chickens do not soar."
The eagle continued staring, at his real family up above, dreaming that he could be with them. Each time the eagle would let his dreams be known, he was told it couldn't be done.
That is what the eagle learned to believe. The eagle, after time, stopped dreaming and continued to live his life like a chicken.
Finally, after a long life as a chicken, the eagle passed away.

The moral of the story:
-----------------------
Many of us are like that Eagle. The environment we live will have more impact on our growth. We always try to live for the society and get influenced by that. Either be part of good society or believe in your self. You become what you believe you are. So if you ever dream to become an eagle follow your dreams, not the words of a chicken.

Two frogs

Two frogs

Story:
------
A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
to encourage another.

Every thing doesn't come as you expected..........

Story:
------
A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.
As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in
business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible.
It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the
sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation,
and the words...PAID IN FULL.

U CAN DO IT IF U HAVE DECIDED .....

U CAN DO IT IF U HAVE DECIDED .....

Story:
------
Once up on a time an old man lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him, was in prison. So the old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation:

Dear Son,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden, because your mother always loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren't in prison.

With Love,
Dad

Shortly, the old man received this telegram: "For Heaven's sake,
Dad, don't dig up the garden!! That's where I buried the GUNS!!"

At 4 a.m .. the next morning, a dozen FBI agents and local police
officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any
guns. Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what happened, and asked him what to do next?

His son's reply was: "Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad...
It's the best I could do for you from here."

Moral:
------
NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DO
SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART YOU CAN DO IT.

STORIES

Treat problems like this....

Story:
------
Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. Held it up for all to see & asked the students, How much do u think this glass weighs?

The students answered .....50gms....100gms....125gms....

I really don't know unless i weigh it, said the professor, but,my question is: What would happen if i held it up like this for a few minutes?

Nothing .... the students said.

Ok what would happen if i held it up like this for an hour? The professor asked.

Your arm would begin to ache said one of the students.

You are right, Now what would happen if i held it for a day?

Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure! ventured another student & all the students laughed.

Very good, But during all this, did the weight of the glass change? Asked the professor.

NO.

Then what caused the arm ache & muscle stress?

The students were puzzled. Put the glass down! said one of the students.

Exactly!! said the professor.

Lifes problems are something like this. Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK. Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache. Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyse you. You will not be able to do anything. Its important to think of the challenges(problems) in your life, but EVEN MORE IMPORTANT to put them down at the end of every day before you go to sleep. That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh & strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!!!

Cheer up.....

SELF MOTIVATION

This article explains a few things about motivating your way to SELF IMPROVEMENT, and if you’re interested, then this is worth reading, because you can never tell what you can never tell what you dont know.

When you think about Self Improvement, what do you think of first? Which aspects of Self Improvement are important, which are essential, and which ones can you take or leave? You be the judge.

Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Getting flunked grades make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our inability to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the ‘push’ to speak up and fight for ourselves to save our face from the next embarrassments. It may be a bitter experience, a friend’s tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.

With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Try on the tips I prepared from A to Z…

A - Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

B - Believe in your self, and in what you can do.

C – Consider things on every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.

D – Don’t give up and don’t give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation as your steering wheel.

E – Enjoy. Work as if you don’t need money. Dance as if nobody’s watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you’ll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.

F – Family and Friends – are life’s greatest ‘F’ treasures. Don’t loose sight of them.

Read
G – Give more than what is enough. Where does motivation and self improvement take place at work? At home? At school? When you exert extra effort in doing things.

H – Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.

I – Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don’t let other people to get the best of you. Stay out of toxic people – the kind of friends who hates to hear about your success.

J – Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself. And the key to failure is to try to please everyone.

K
– keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. When a person is motivated, eventually he sees a harsh life finally clearing out, paving the way to self improvement.

L
– Learn to love your self. Now isn’t that easy? Is everything making sense so far? If not, I’m sure that with just a little more reading, all the facts will fall into place. It’s really a good idea to probe a little deeper into the subject of Self Improvement. What you learn may give you the confidence you need to venture into new areas.

M – Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.

N
– Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.

O – Open your eyes. People should learn the horse attitude and horse sense. They see things in 2 ways – how they want things to be, and how they should be.

P
– Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn repertoire and ways on how can we recover from our mistakes.

Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate – are you going to be a quitter? Or a winner?

R
– Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah build the ark.

S
– Stop procrastinating.

T – Take control of your life. Discipline or self control jives synonymously with motivation. Both are key factors in self improvement.

U
– Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.

V
– Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W – Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing. And to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self improvement.

X
– X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on “extras” on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.

Y
– You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because you’re just going to spend it once.

Z – Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!! Knowing enough about SELF IMPROVEMENT to make solid, informed choices cuts down on the fear factor. If you apply what you’ve just learned about SELF IMPROVEMENT, you should have nothing to worry about.

Now you can understand why there’s a growing interest in Self Improvement. When people start looking for more information about Self Improvement, you’ll be in a position to meet their needs.

You can’t predict when knowing something extra about SELF IMPROVEMENT will come in handy.
